Patent and Tech Report search capability is now available on the Caesar Group web site.
You can search patents that have been granted to AFRL/Rome since the year 2000. These are generally patents with only government employees as inventors. When patentable technology is created by a contractor during AFRL sponsored research that contractor (or university) has the rights to patent that technology themselves. These patents, while not listed here, may still be available for commercialization through teaming with, or licensing from, the research contractor.
You can also search AFRL tech reports (back to 2011) that have been approved for public release (Distribution A). Note that Dist A reports are the tip of the iceberg in terms of the total Tech Reports AFRL produces. Other AFRL reports are available for release to certain groups but are not indexed here. They include Dist C reports (US Government Agencies and their Contractors) and Dist D reports (DOD Agencies and DOD contractors).
Every AFRL research project is mandated to create a final technical report. These are generally the reports that are available online. In addition, technical papers, prototype software and interim reports may also be available. Prototype software that implements the critical operations involved in the research can be especially helpful in commercializing a technology.
Our search function is just a tease of the wealth of tech available for commercialization through AFRL. You need a crew of Highly Trained Tech Transfer Consultants to help you explore the possibilities – The Caesar Group is here to help!
